drug problem

The other day, someone at a store in our town read that a Methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me a rhetorical question.

'Why didn't we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?'

I replied, I had a drug problem when I was young:

· I was drug to church on Sunday morning.

· I was drug to church for weddings and funerals.

· I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.

· I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults.

· I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of the teacher or the preacher, or if I didn't put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.

· I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap if I uttered a profanity.

· I was drug out to pull weeds in mom's garden and flowerbeds and cockle-burr's out of dad's fields.

· I was drug to the homes of family, friends and neighbors to help out some poor soul who had no one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline, or chop some firewood; and, if my mother had ever known that I took a single dime as a tip for this kindness, she would have drug me back to the woodshed.

Those drugs are still in my veins they are still with me and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, or think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin; and, if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America would certainly be a better place and many of it's problems would be non-existent. God bless the parents who drugged us.

In God WE Trust

Have you seen the GEICO commercials? They’re hilarious, even down to the theme music…“I always feel like somebody’s watchin’ me!” But you know what? It’s true!! Somebody IS watching you. God is watching you because He loves you and always wants what’s best for you. He wants you to trust Him with every part of your life, including your money, so that He can work out His plans for you, “…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

And when we actually live like “IN GOD WE TRUST,” that’s when the fun begins!!

September 9th: WHY SHOULD WE TRUST GOD?

September 26th: HOW CAN WE TRUST GOD?

October 25th: WHAT DOES “IN GOD WE TRUST” LOOK LIKE?

terrorist cell found

Latest news reports are that five terrorist cell groups have been operating in many churches. They have been identified as: Bin Sleepin, Bin Arguin, Bin Fightin, Bin Complainin, and Bin Missin.

Their leader,Lucifer Bin Workin, trained these groups to destroy the Body of Christ. The plan is to come into the church disguised as Christians and to work within the church to discourage, disrupt, and destroy.

However, there have been reports of a sixth group. A tiny cell known by the name Bin Prayin is actually the only effective counter terrorism force in the church. Unlike other terrorist cells, the Bin Prayin team does not blend in with whoever and whatever comes along.

Bin Prayin does whatever is needed to uplift and encourage the Body of Christ.. We have noticed that the Bin Prayin cell group is made up of members with different characteristics. They have Bin Watchin, Bin Waitin, Bin Fastin, and Bin Longin for their Master, Jesus Christ to return. (However, you can spot them if you bin lookin and bin goin.) No Church is exempt!
